I’m a woman of many words. Having grown up in a culture of oral traditions and storytelling, I have always been fascinated by words and ideas and the impact they can create on the human mind. Though I could barely spell back then, I started experimenting with writing from a very early age. In fact, the obsessive writing I used to practice as a child makes me wonder how I had anything left to write about when I finally grew up. But when you’re an extrovert with multiple interests, inspiration is not very hard to find.
I love talking to people from different backgrounds, to know about their lives and experiences. Not just in real life, but online as well, I tend to befriend a lot of strangers that my mother had warned be about as a child. During leisure, I enjoy painting and crying over books and movies that touch my core. I'm a big-time food lover and I thank my stars every day that I found a partner like Nachi who is a foodie as well and whose extraordinary culinary skills have spoiled me silly over the past 5 years. I love to travel and document those ordinary, extraordinary experiences in one of the innumerable notebooks I collect but never completely fill up. Yes, beautiful stationery that I rarely use and handloom sarees that I rarely wear are my only two guilty pleasures for a while now.
On most days, my sheer zeal for regular, mundane life is almost annoying. I've been called unsuccessful, lazy, fake, complacent and whatnot because honestly, I'm not a very conventionally ambitious person and that hasn't been trending a lot these days. But what can I say, I am what I am! I believe in pursuing and curating beauty and happiness in its many forms and drinking life to the lees.
